Wanna Hang Out?

I am a colourful Marriage and Civil Celebrant, a Hufflepuff, a feminist and an animal-lover. I love to dance and sing; I enjoy many kinds of crafting as well as listening to podcasts and audiobooks.

In addition to celebrancy, I have over a decade of experience in performance, comedy, improvisation and public speaking. I get excited about niche themed events and costumes, and would love to create and participate in a themed ceremony if that’s what floats your boat. I have a background in music performance and am happy to sing as part of a ceremony if requested. If you want, I can even dance badly.

I first realised that I wanted to be a celebrant after a good friend asked me to MC her wedding reception. I loved giving my friend and her new husband the gift of not having to worry about anything. They were able to be in the moment and not think, but experience.

Since becoming a celebrant, this is what I aim to do for all my clients. In the leadup to your event I’ll take you through the legal process and work with you to create a ceremony that you will love, then on the day I’ll take the reins so that you can sit back and enjoy.

I believe that what matters most in a ceremony is what matters to you. Weddings shouldn’t be boring or stuffy, and most importantly shouldn’t be dictated by “shoulds,” or tradition for tradition’s sake.   I’ll guide you through embracing any traditions that are meaningful to you, while helping you to create new traditions of your own.  I’ll give you permission to ignore conventional aspects of a ceremony if you want to, so that each part of your ceremony actually holds meaning for you.

Along with weddings, baby namings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies, I am excited to offer somewhat less ‘traditional’ services such as gender/name affirmations and first moon celebrations.

I would love to meet up with you and see if we are a good fit.
